Who are we? Well, "we" is actually currently only a few of us.
Briana Higgins founded BAH Studios™, which originally was just something
she'd wanted to do for a while - a place to put up and maintain all her
ongoing projects, sites, and ideas. Now it serves both that purpose and
as a small web and logo design business.
As for the origin of the name: "BAH" are Briana's initials, as well as something
similar to the sound a goat makes, and her zodiac sign happens to be Capricorn,
the goat. So, the studio's mascot is a goat.
More information on the crew:
Briana Higgins is the founder and namesake of BAH Studios™.
Briana is currently enrolled in college as a senior aiming for a BFA in Visual Art. She hopes to one day either work
as a character illustrator/designer in the entertainment industry, or perhaps design websites or another
graphic design-related occupation. Currently, she keeps herself busy with school projects and BAH Studios'™
current main entertainment project,
Rune Master: Tales of a
Demon Slayer as co-author and artist. She has been designing websites and graphics as a hobby since 2000.
She is the one in charge of all BAH Studios'™ professional
web design and logo design commissions. Her web design skills are almost entirely self-taught, as are a majority
of her digital art/editing abilities, though the last few years of school have served to help fine-tune them.
Creativity-wise, Briana has always been into drawing, and also developed a love of reading and writing from
a very early age. This all stems back to her love of stories in virtually any way, shape or form - and it
should be no surprise that she is a huge fan of the Canadian company
Bioware for their often compelling storytelling through
the video game medium. Ever since Briana was a young child, she has worked on countless stories and illustrations.
Wither her personal work, she has a tendency to jump from project to project, leaving several things unfinished. In recent years,
she has gotten better about this, and has been excellent at sticking to the fantasy world she created,
Ehrdi, and projects related to it, such as Rune Master.
Though currently small in the visitor department, she finds these projects very successful from a self-discipline
and skill-improving standpoint.
Professionally, Briana is much more diligent and works in a timely manner. She has designed the website for
Shriek Theatre, Inc and created Flash Tutorials
for her school's Information Technology department during their
Integrating Information Retrieval into Undergraduate Curricula
project. Briana also interned in Summer 2008 at
Cisco's Creative
Media Services in their Metro-Atlanta offices. There are other potential professional opportunities in the works,
but since they're still tentative, we won't mention them here yet.
Carissa Palazzo works primarily as a co-author for various Ehrdi-related
projects at BAH Studios™. She is a long-time friend of Briana's, and has worked with her on many creative writing
projects - most of them goofy stories for their own personal amusement. However, their writing excursions in more
recent years were written with the intent of sharing them more publicly, and perhaps more professionally as well.
Carissa is a recent college graduate, majoring in Literature and minoring in American History. She is currently working
in retail (thanks, horrible economy) while she makes preperations for the possibility of attending law school.
Aside from Rune Master, Carissa is drawing and co-writing a side comic/prequel to Rune Master with
another long-term friend, Hikari Wantanabe. This project is yet to be released online, but is tentatively scheduled
for public release in mid-late 2009.
